Pawnee Awarded Funding by The Greater Manhattan Community Foundation

The Greater Manhattan Community Foundation awarded Pawnee Mental Health Services (Pawnee) a grant from the YES! Fund in the amount of $14,500.  The grant will support Pawnee’s Integrated Community Enhancement program, a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan.

Pawnee will partner with the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan to provide one on one support to children with Serious Emotional Disturbances (SED) who attend the Boys & Girls Club after school program.  Pawnee will also conduct Mental Health First Aid training with the staff of the Boys & Girls Club.

A second grant from The Greater Manhattan Community Foundation through the Youth Impacting Community (YIC) fund, was awarded to Pawnee. Pawnee received $1,400 for its Fun Fitness Challenge Project. The purpose of this project is to improve the physical and mental health of children with SED through physical exercise.

Pawnee Mental Health Services is a licensed community mental health center and licensed substance abuse treatment center serving more than 7,600 people annually through out ten counties in north central Kansas.
