Pawnee awarded funding by the Enterprise Holdings Foundation

Pawnee-logo-for-website-posts-300x169v2The Enterprise Holdings Foundation has awarded Pawnee Mental Health Services $1,500 to purchase self-regulation curriculum to be used with children and adolescents diagnosed with serious emotional disturbances (SED).  The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the company that operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands.

Helping children and adolescents with SED learn to effectively regulate thoughts, feelings and behaviors can improve their mental health, physical health, social interactions and academic performance which helps to improve their ability to function in family, school and community activities.

Pawnee Mental Health Services is a licensed community mental health center and licensed substance abuse treatment center serving more than 7,300 people annually throughout ten counties in north central Kansas.  Pawnee serves nearly 700 children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances a year.
