SALINA REGIONAL WON’T ACCEPT MEDICAID PATIENTS WHO USE UNITED HEALTH CARE AFTER JANUARY 1

FYI Post It NoteBeginning Jan. 1, Salina Regional Health Center will not accept Medicaid patients who receive their benefits through United Health Care, one of three KanCare Medicaid providers in the state.  The decision affects not only Salina Regional Health Center, but also several other organizations affiliated with the hospital: the Tammy Walker Cancer Center, ComCare, Salina Regional Oncology, StatCare, Salina Regional Surgical Associates, Salina Regional Heart Center, Salina Women’s Clinic, Veridian Behavioral Health, Salina Physical Therapy, Salina Regional Neurosurgery, Salina Pediatric Care, Salina Regional Neurosciences and Lindsborg Community Hospital. The annual KanCare enrollment period starts December 1 and continues for 90 days.  During this period, Medicaid recipients can pick among the three KanCare companies.
