Pawnee Mental Health Services announces the addition of Janet Droge, Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) to its staff. Ms. Droge will provide mental health services to children, adolescents and adults at Pawnee’s offices located in Beloit, Belleville and Concordia.
Ms. Droge earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Social Work from Washburn University. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas and achieved her LSCSW in 2009.
She previously worked in community mental health in Topeka and specialized in working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence and other trauma. Ms. Droge most recently worked in the Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic at Fort Riley helping soldiers traumatized in combat.
Ms. Droge completed specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a psychotherapy technique which can be successful in helping people who suffer from trauma, anxiety, panic, disturbing memories, post-traumatic stress and many other emotional problems.
