Robbin Waldner Cole, Executive Director of Pawnee Mental Health Services, received the Kansas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (KSAMFT) Award for Service to Kansas Families. Ms. Cole was presented the award on March 6, 2015 at the KSAMFT annual conference.
The Kansas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Award for Service to Kansas Families is presented to an individual not within the profession of marriage and family therapy who has distinguished himself or herself in serving the needs of families in the state of Kansas.
Ms. Cole’s nomination said, “She is the Executive Director for Pawnee Mental Health Center in Manhattan, KS and in addition to directing the center’s operations she works tirelessly for the families in KS. By advocating in Topeka for the affordable treatment of those experiencing emotional difficulties. She has also implemented the hiring of numerous Marriage and Family Therapists and recognizes their expertise in the provision of mental health services to Kansas families.”
Kansas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (KSAMFT), a division of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to establish and maintain professional standards in marriage and family therapy and to improve therapy by adherence to a professional code of ethics, to encourage research and continuing education programs for the helping professions.
Pawnee Mental Health Services is a licensed community mental health center and licensed substance use treatment center serving more than 7,500 people in north central Kansas annually.
