"The greatness of a community is most accurately
measured by the compassionate actions of its members."
Coretta Scott King
Since the opening of the Crisis Stabilization Center (CSC) on November 4th, 2019, the facility has been full most nights. This level of utilization highlights the need not only for onetime support to help pay off the cost of construction, but also the ongoing needs of the facility as we serve our community members. Pawnee sincerely thanks all of the individuals, companies and organizations who have provided and continue to provide support.
It is impossible to place some organizations into a giving category because of their ongoing daily/weekly support. In February of 2019, Pawnee first approached Common Table to discuss the possibility of their partnering churches providing evening meals for the CSC. Without hesitation, this group stepped up and agreed to provide support for CSC and have been since opening day. Shortly following the opening of the CSC, Manhattan Soup Kitchen approached Pawnee to inquire about our needs in terms of food and began providing food on a weekly basis. Together, Common Table and Manhattan Soup Kitchen provide an estimated 90% or more of the CSC's food needs. Pawnee is extremely grateful for these partnerships, which allow us to divert money budgeted for food to help pay for services for those who have no ability to pay.
