Undergraduate level internships are facilitated through an employment experience and are thus only available to current Pawnee employees. Individuals who are interested may view a listing of positions available on the website.


Graduate level practicums are offered on a limited basis each semester. Availability is based on Pawnee’s needs and resources for supervision. Individuals who are interested must submit the following to Human Resources to be considered:

  • Resume and cover letter

  • Proof of acceptance into a graduate level practicum program

  • Requirements of the academic institution

  • Three professional references

Dental -           Delta Dental

Coverage will begin the 1st day of the month after 30 full days of employment. Employee must be in a position of at least 20 hours or more per week to qualify.

Health Savings Account or Health Reimbursement Account (High Deductible Health Insurance Plan):   For BCBS or AETNA plan C and N only


Pre-tax payroll deduction may be made for insurance premium, unreimbursed medical expenses and dependent care expenses.


PAID TIME OFF (PTO) LEAVE: Positions of 30+ hours/week begin accruing leave after 90 days of employment.

EXTENDED ILLNESS LEAVE: Positions of 30+ hours/week begin accruing leave after 1 year of employment.


RETIREMENT:       Kansas Public Employee Retirement System (KPERS) – those holding a position of at least 1000 hours per year (full time = 2,080 hrs/year), 6% of salary is withheld to fund retirement and other benefits.

TERM LIFE INSURANCE: Packaged with KPERS. Value = 1.5 times annual earnings.

DISABILITY INSURANCE:         Long term disability coverage packaged with KPERS.


SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE: Cancer, Short Term Disability, Accident, Vision and other coverage is available. Funded through payroll deduction.


PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY      INSURANCE:  Premium is paid by Pawnee. Policy provides coverage for malpractice claims. 

PROFESSIONAL LEAVE: Pawnee supports continuing education. Time off and resources are available at the program director's discretion.
