Mental Health First Aid is an eight hour course that trains participants to help people who may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.
You will learn:

Risk factors and warning signs of mental health and substance use disorders such as depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis and addiction disorders.

A five step action plan to help someone developing a mental health problem or crisis.

Local resources to turn to for help (professional, peer, self-help).

All courses begin at 8:30 a.m. and wrap up by 5:00 p.m. with a break for lunch. Lunch is on your own. The cost of the course is $50.00 per person. Eight hours of instruction and a manual are included. Class size is limited to 25 participants.
