Joining the Pawnee Volunteer Team is a tremendous opportunity for community members who want to provide time, energy and talent toward projects and activities that positively impact the lives of children and adults with mental illness.

Ways to Help

  • Driving the Dinner Committee
    Five nights a week Common Table in Manhattan provides 10 meals for the Crisis Stabilization Center clients.  Volunteers are needed to pick up the meals from the designated location and deliver them to the Crisis Stabilization Center.

  • Information Distribution Committee
    Members of this will assist staff in operating booths at health fairs or other community events. Participants will receive the necessary training that will allow them to provide pertinent and accurate information about the services provided by Pawnee.

  • Development Support Committee
    The Development Support Committee will assist with a variety of development and fundraising activities. Responsibilities may include soliciting and securing sponsorships for activities, auction and raffle items, and selling tickets for Pancakes for Pawnee.

  • Miscellaneous Committee
    This committee will consist of volunteers who are willing to complete short-term, "one-off" or standard reoccurring tasks. This committee offers a great deal of flexibility and could include jobs like completing administrative tasks like mailing receipts, addressing envelopes, folding newsletters, stuffing envelopes and a variety of other tasks. 

Due to privacy considerations and the sensitivity of Pawnee's work, please understand that our volunteers do not usually interact directly with clients.

Discounts are available to individuals without health insurance and are offered based upon poverty federal guidelines.
