Mental health crises do not follow boundaries or schedules; they can happen anytime, anywhere. That is why, beginning January 1st, Pawnee’s Mobile Crisis Services expanded to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—because a new day of care means help is always within reach.

For 70 years, Pawnee has been there for our community—walking alongside individuals and families through moments of struggle, healing, and hope. Today, as we celebrate that legacy, we also step boldly into a New Day.

Launched in 2024, Mobile Crisis Services meets people where they are and honors a simple truth: we do not decide whether someone is in crisis—they do. In just two years, encounters grew from 90 to 371, with 84% avoiding the need for emergency room services, ambulance transfers, or incarceration.

Mobile Crisis Services saves lives. Yet most insurance does not cover this care, and often the person receiving help is not the one who called for it. Without donor support, many of these moments of compassion would not be possible.

As we honor 70 years of service and launch a New Day for mental health, your partnership ensures lifesaving care continues—day or night, now and for generations to come.
