Child and Adolescent Therapy

Child & Adolescent Therapy

Youth and their families work together with a therapist to find better ways to manage difficult behavior at home, school, and in the community. Therapists frequently connect families who need additional support to your Youth Community Services program, to develop a treatment team to support a family’s journey to resilience and better mental health. Pawnee’s therapists are trained in the following evidence-based practices for families:

  • EMDR – Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing
  • PCIT – Parent-child interaction therapy
  • ABFT – Attachment-based family therapy
  • TFCBT – Trauma-focused CBT

Your family’s therapist might also suggest therapeutic groups to support mental wellness. Available groups include:

  • Empowerment Group (middle school)
  • Thrive (high school)
  • Self-acceptance for Teens (ages 15-18)
