Diane (Di) Hinrichs-Toburen, PhD
Chief Advancement & Engagement Officer
How I help:
I joined Pawnee in April of 2018 as the Development Manager and have served as Director of Marketing and Development since February of 2020. I also served as a governing board member representing Pottawatomie County from 2016 to 2018.
My specialties:
I began my work in the nonprofit section in 1991, when I began working for the K-State Foundation. During my tenure, I mostly focused on donor relations, but my career evolved into working with our IT department to assist with their reporting needs.
Following my work at the Foundation, I spent three years working for the IT department of Washburn University working with their ERP software, in support of the student services and finance areas.
In 2012, I left Washburn to take the position of the Wamego Campus Director for Highland Community College.
Educationally, I hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing, master’s degree in college student development, and a doctorate in counseling and student development. My focus for both my graduate degrees has been identity development and reconciliation of sexual minorities who are Christian.
More about me:
Outside of work, I am involved with my church, and busy spending time with my family. We enjoy camping, boating and many other sports activities.
