Cristal Colon
Human Resources Business Partner
How I Help:
I support Pawnee Mental Health by bringing a strong foundation in human resources, operations, and administrative leadership to help teams function efficiently and effectively. With experience across higher education and military environments, I focus on streamlining HR processes such as personnel actions, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and compliance to ensure accuracy and a positive employee experience. I also work to improve workflows, strengthen communication, and support cross-department collaboration so daily operations run smoothly. Whether I’m assisting with scheduling, coordinating logistics, or supporting leadership with data and planning, my goal is to create structure, clarity, and consistency that helps the organization operate at its best. I take pride in being organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, always looking for ways to improve processes and support those around me.
My Specialties:
My strengths lie in human resources management, operational planning, and administrative excellence. I have experience managing personnel actions, payroll, benefits, evaluations, and compliance for large organizations, along with coordinating logistics, training schedules, and complex operations. I also specialize in executive-level administrative support, including scheduling, documentation, and event coordination. In addition, I bring experience in budgeting and financial analysis, using forecasting and data insights to support decision-making and improve efficiency. I take a process improvement approach, focusing on reducing errors, enhancing workflows, and strengthening overall performance. I’m passionate about creating organized systems, supporting team development, and serving as a reliable resource across departments.
More About Me:
I’m someone who values balance, purpose, and connection—both professionally and personally. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and prioritizing my health by spending time at the gym and maintaining a consistent routine. My greatest joy comes from spending time with my family, who keep me grounded and motivated. Before joining Pawnee, I proudly served 11 years in the United States Army, where I gained extensive experience in leadership, operations, human resources, and logistics. Throughout my service, I held roles such as Equal Opportunity Leader, Retention NCO, Licensed Instructor/Examiner, and Logistics/GCSS-Army Operator, which helped shape my ability to lead, problem-solve, and stay detail-focused. I’m currently pursuing my MBA in Business Analytics (expected September 2026), and I strive to bring positivity, dedication, and authenticity into everything I do.
