Josh Schell, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner
How I help:
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I evaluate and manage a wide range of medical conditions while taking a holistic approach to care. I believe effective healthcare addresses not only physical concerns, but also the psychological, emotional, and spiritual well-being of each patient. I work collaboratively with individuals to create personalized care plans that support overall wellness and long-term health.
My specialties:
My education and clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner have prepared me to treat both acute and chronic conditions. I provide care for acute illnesses such as colds, influenza, injuries, and strep throat, as well as chronic conditions including diabetes, COPD, asthma, and hypertension. My background in dermatology has strengthened my expertise in diagnosing and managing skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, and skin cancers.
Before joining Pawnee, I worked as a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner in a private practice. Prior to that, I gained experience as a registered nurse in both an outpatient infusion clinic and an inpatient medical unit. With more than 10 years of nursing experience, I bring a broad clinical perspective to patient care. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Washburn University and my master’s degree from Chamberlain University.
More about me:
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife and I have two daughters, and we love hiking, fishing, and going to the movies together. I also enjoy woodworking and cooking, and I have had the privilege of serving as an assistant coach on my eldest daughter’s softball team for the past several years.
