Governing Board
Pawnee is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the county commissioners of the 10 counties we serve. Each county is allowed two standing members and one alternate who are appointed to three-year terms. Special board appointments may include an adult with a Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and a parent of a child with a Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). The board is responsible for selecting and evaluating the executive director of the agency and also sets strategic objectives.

Established in 1977, the Pawnee Mental Health Services Foundation provides property management and development services for the benefit of Pawnee Mental Health. Through the efforts of the foundation board and the generosity of private donors, Pawnee is able to expand access to services in the communities we serve.
