Classes and Evaluation Services

Whether you are court-ordered for services or seeking a group learning opportunity, we may have a class that fits your needs.

Parenting/Family Separation

Basic Parenting class: This course meets the requirements for the Department of Children and Families and Foster Care agency required parenting classes. Parents from the same family are encouraged to attend the same class together. You will learn the basics of child development and a broad overview of setting limits and the importance of attachment.

Divorce and Children’s Needs Workshop: This course meets the Kansas state requirements for parents who are involved in a divorce proceeding. Parents from the same family are encouraged to attend the class separately. This workshop will discuss the stages of divorce, how to talk to children about divorce, and give parents an understanding of their child’s experience of divorce. Offered online and in person at our three main offices.

Evaluations

We offer the following evaluations.

Psychological evaluations are typically court-ordered or referred from another mental health professional or primary care physician; we offer competency to stand trial, learning disability and diagnostic clarification evaluations. *Note that the demand for these services is high and the wait for an appointment may be up to four weeks*

Pre-admission and continued stay review assessments along with PRTF pre-admission screenings are offered by our Crisis Department. Click here to learn more about our Crisis Services.
