Support Youth Community Services (YCS)

As a community mental health center, Pawnee is the ONLY provider of community services for children with Serious Emotional Disturbances (SED).

Youth Community Services (YCS) provides children and youth with a variety of services intended to help children with SED develop resiliency and coping skills that help them overcome the symptoms that they experience. Children and youth are taught these skills and then are given opportunities to utilize the skills in an environment where they are supported and encouraged. 

Ways to support YCS

• S.T.A.R.S. Camp – provide funding to help children and teens with SED attend a summer camp designed just for them
• Arts and crafts supplies 
• Donations allow YCS participants to attend a variety of community events and activities such as zoo trips, swimming passes, painting sessions, and other community activities. 
• Sports equipment is needed in all of our areas. Everything from balls to bikes can be used by our respite or YCS groups.
